PhD opportunity: Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering

The University of Trento opens the call for positions for the 38th Cycle (Academic Year 2022/2023) of the Doctoral Programme in Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering.

The PhD project is called "SHALL – near Surface processes in High ALtitude Lakes" and will focus on gas exchanges, small-scale stratification and turbulent mixing in the surface layers of high altitude Alpine lakes.

In preference, the candidate should:

- hold a MSc in Physics, Environmental Engineering, Geophysics, or Oceanography. 

- have basic programming and data analysis skills

- have experience with fieldwork 

- have basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and turbulence
