Workshop: "Assisted Migration in Iceland"

TolerantTree* arranges a workshop in Iceland about assisted migration - a tool to meet the threat from climate change in the Nordic countries. The aim is to create a discussion venue where scientists have a chance to share and extend their knowledge on matters relating to assisted migration at the Nordic level and discuss suitable ways to practice it in. The participants are invited to present their work and results related to assisted migration.

Assisted migration can be:

  • within species range,
  • just outside species range, or
  • longer distance far from species range.

There is a limited number of spots for participating in the workshop. If interested, please register here by 20 March 2024.

*Tolerant Tree (full project name: Genetics and management for stress tolerant trees for the future climate) is a project that supports collaboration and knowledge-sharing between forest geneticists, pathologists and entomologists across the Nordic countries.
