ACTRIS Week 2025 to Bring the Community Together in Portugal

2 September 2025

Next month, the ACTRIS community will gather in the historic city of Évora, Portugal, for ACTRIS Week 2025. From 21–23 October, researchers, technical experts, and partner organisations will meet at the University of Évora to share progress, address current challenges, and strengthen collaborations across the ACTRIS network. Remote participation will also be possible.

ACTRIS Week has become the key moment in the calendar for aligning activities within the community. The 2025 edition will open with a general ACTRIS session and a dedicated CARGO-ACT community session. The second day will be devoted to a rich set of Central Facility workshops, covering topics such as aerosol and cloud observations, trace gas in situ measurements, and remote sensing. On the final day, the focus will turn to the National Facility Technical & Scientific Forum, providing space for national teams to exchange expertise and perspectives.

Beyond the technical programme, ACTRIS Week 2025 will also offer opportunities to connect on a personal level. Participants will be invited to join a guided city tour of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and to enjoy a conference dinner at a local venue — a chance to experience the unique atmosphere of the Alentejo region.

Registration is open until 19 September 2025, and the preliminary agenda can already be explored online.
