eLTER Consortia Meeting 2026
The event will be opened by Jaana Bäck, Michael Mirtl, and Pierre Quertenmont, European Commission Officer in charge of the eLTER projects (EC/REA).
It will begin with an Info Day on 14 January, followed by two dedicated working days under the overarching theme “Planning and Next Steps.”
The Info Day will highlight some of the many success stories achieved by the eLTER consortium over the project runtime. A particular highlight will be a series of elevator statements from peers and flagship projects, showcasing the breadth of the eLTER network and the concrete collaborations that have emerged from it.
The subsequent planning sessions will focus on shaping the way forward and will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Data and data products
- Handling and future development of key eLTER components, such as DAR and the Information Cluster
- Networking sessions with SPF, EC&F, and key institutions
- Implementation of Topic Centres and Strategic Actions in the year ahead
The programme will, of course, also include opportunities for informal exchange and social activities, providing space to strengthen connections across the eLTER community.
